Chimole

One of the most famed dishes in Belize is the Chimole/Relleno Negro, also knowns as “black dinner”. The most striking feature of this soup is its distinctive black color, which comes from the black recede, a paste made from a mixture of spices and roasted until black with ancho chili peppers. One taste and you will be wanting more of this comforting dish.
